Along with our many changes for the event, we have tried to make life easier for all the fans by providing this map detailing how best to navigate the grounds.
In Campgrounds #1, the shower houses have been marked out with blue dots. There's one in row B and one between there and the free stage. Portable restrooms are scattered throughout the campgrounds and show area.
Starting Thursday, the only entrance for camping and parking will be on the east side from Highway 25. Prior to that, campers can use the west entrance off of Maple Ave. Handicap parking will be up by the box office - you will need to use the west entrance to get there. As with last year, you will need to have a River Ruckus ticket to be on the grounds.
There will be a free stage with a TBA act on Thursday night. The show is BYOB and you'll be allowed to come and go as you please.
Next to the free stage will be our Beer Throwing Competition - Thursday night only. There will also be a "Convenience Store" where you can get some supplies onsite if needed.
We have marked out pedestrian walkways for gate entry in black dotted lines - if you need to visit the box office, you'll follow the last section of green dotted lines.
The blue lines mark out where fence will be put in for around the show.
The First-Aid station will be in the same spot as last year, North of the ampitheater.
The green dot Northwest of the new community building will be the drop-off and pick-up station for the shuttle service. It is going to change a little bit from 2015, and we'll keep you updated as we figure it out.
We have two RV dumping stations. One is located on the Southeast corner of the bath house in the main campgrounds and the other will be near the Highway 25 exit next to the overflow camping area.
Guthrie's River Ruckus is located at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds in Guthrie Center, Iowa. It is just 50 miles west of Des Moines, about 20 miles north of I-80, and 25 miles east of Audubon. The fairgrounds are on the west side of town on Highway 44, just west of Mitchell City Park and the Raccoon River. Of course, since it is located at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds, you and your family will have the opportunity to camp at one of the 700+ camp sites.
