All of the acts have finally been announced!!! Get your tickets while they last!Saturday Night's Entertainment: (July 26th)
Guthrie's River Ruckus is an outdoor concert held annually. It turned into a two night ordeal in 2011, but with the explosive response we heard from Chris Cagle fans, it was clear he needed to be invited back for the third straight year! The 2014 GRR will be a Three Day Event; July 24th, 25th, and 26th. It has featured a range of music from local talent to big names like the 2012 headliner Eric Church and the 2013 headliner Hank Williams Jr., which also included Big & Rich, Chris Cagle, Gretchen Wilson, Josh Thompson, Casey Donahew Band, Granger Smith, and Brad Morgan. The 2013 River Ruckus featured a large list of changes to provide everyone with a more enjoyable experience.
Go ahead and browse the site to find information on everything we can share about next year's GRR, including where to get your tickets, how to get to the concert, photos from previous years, and camping opportunities.
Map of the Grounds
Along with our many changes for the event, we have tried to make life easier for all the fans by providing this map detailing how best to navigate the grounds.
The only entrance for parking will be on the east side from Highway 25 - campers, however, will continue to use the west entrance off of Maple Avenue. The northwest corner of the parking area will be for handicapped persons.
Here is a breakdown of the different vendors:
- Bob's BBQ Pit - Beef Brisket Sandwiches, Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Chips, Pop, and Water
- Robin and Rex Adams - Tenderloins, Pizza Burgers, Hot Dogs, Cheddar Nuggets, Tea, Lemonade, and Water
- Buca-Wich - Cajun Steak, Italian Sausage, Crawfish, Meatballs, PB & J, Tuna Salad Sandwich, Chicken Salad Sandwich, Nachos, Pop, Tea, Coffee, Lemonade, and Gatorade
- Ann Amato - Italian Sausage/Pepper Sandwich, Pop, and Water
- G.C. Cattlemen - Steak Sandwiches
- Merchandise Tent
- Kautzky Tree Care - Firewood
- Deardorff Kettle Corn
Just south of the rec. area, an informational booth will be set up in the Lion's Club booth. The informational booth is the place where fans can get their ID's checked, beer tickets purchased in advance, and to get your 2 day express lane wristband, along with answering any other questions you may have. The informational booth will be open Friday from Noon to showtime and Saturday from Noon to showtime. Take advantage of this opportunity to visit this booth prior to the show to get your beer faster inside the arena during the concerts. Sunday the booth will be open for "lost and found" items.
We have marked out pedestrian walkways for gate entry in green dotted lines. The orange dotted line is the separate entrance for VIP. It is also clearly marked where you will be able to find the ice cold beer stored in Budweiser beer trucks.
The blue lines mark out where fence will be put in for around the show and different pedestrian walkways.
The First-Aid station will be in the same spot as last year, North of the ampitheater.
The green dot Northwest of the new community building will be the drop-off and pick-up station for the buses. The buses will run to and from the following campsites:
- Springbrook State Park
- Lenon Mills State Wildlife Area
- Nation's Bridge Park
The two blue dots will be the RV dumping stations. One is located on the Southeast corner of the bath house in the campgrounds and the other will be near the Highway 25 exit next to the overflow camping area.
Notable Changes we are making for the Ruckus
There will be more security all around the stage, gates, and infield during the shows. There will also be more security personnel patrolling the campgrounds. Our number one concern is people's safety, and we want everyone to have a good, safe experience at Guthrie's River Ruckus.
The stage for the shows will still be sitting much higher, and it will be equipped with a 17' by 27' big screen so no one will miss the fun happening up on stage this year.
Cell service this year will get additional assistance from a portable cell tower.
Our 2013 beer line improvements will be carried over to 2014. No one will be walking up to get an ice cold beverage as someone else that just received theirs is walking back at them. All the beer trucks will be backed up to the beer shacks which will be located along the perimeter fence. With a shorter distance for beer to travel from the back of the trucks to the beer shacks, you can expect much colder beer.
Of course, there will still be plenty of food vendors inside the arena during the shows.
There will be A LOT of dumpsters and porta-potties scattered throughout the grounds.
Each campsite will receive 2 50 gallon garbage bags - please use these to keep the campgrounds respectable. This worked very well last year and we greatly appreciate your cooperation!
